Beth is a physical therapist and the founder of the online Cancer Rehab Space. Her practice has focused on integrative cancer rehabilitation, including lymphedema and pelvic health, since 2008. Having grown up with a mother living with metastatic breast cancer, Beth has always been passionate about supporting people’s quality of life during cancer treatment and beyond. Blending her interest in the body-mind connection with her background in orthopedics, fitness and education, Beth offers a uniquely integrative approach to cancer recovery.
Beth obtained her Masters of Physiotherapy in 2005. Prior to this she obtained a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts. She also has an extensive background working in the fitness industry as an instructor and personal trainer. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), is trained in pelvic health, manual therapy, dry needling and acupuncture, is a Barnes Myofascial Release Therapist, and holds a certificate in the Integrated Systems Model.
Beth uses a whole-person approach to promote quality of life and wellbeing for her clients. She believes in empowering people with the knowledge & tools they need to “stay in the driver’s seat” of their own cancer experience. Finally, Beth is a strong advocate for cancer rehabilitation, including pelvic health and lymphedema management, and is passionate about educating others about how cancer rehabilitation can help.
Everyone deserves to live as well as they can both during and after cancer and Beth is on a mission to explain why and how. Quality of life matters now.
