Post-Op Recovery Week 7 - Rectocele Repair - Prolapse Surgery Check In With My Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist

MY LIFT WAS BETTER!!

I saw my pelvic floor physio today and was so happy with what she said!
🙂
Before my rectocele surgery, I struggled with the lift part of a Kegel and my goal for the first appointment after surgery was for my physio to tell me that my lift improved...and it did!!

I lived with a rectocele for close to nine years and tried everything to improve it. Rectoceles are tough to reverse.

You can read all about my decision to have surgery and my recovery on my blog and also on Instagram @vaginacoach (and also check out my surgery highlight).
🙂
I was very diligent with my post-op recovery and I have been doing the Core Confidence Exercise Program as part of my core retraining.
🙂
I will now start to load my exercise progressively with weights and I will also add in some more challenging moves.
🙂
I also need to work on down training. I have tension in my glutes and internal muscles. I know this is in big part because of the gripping strategies I developed from having a prolapse.
🙂
I am getting my mojo back and I LOVE it!
🙂
I will be using my vibrating wand from Intimate Rose and my Kegel Release Curve and my vSculpt and my YogaTuneUp balls and yoga.
🙂
I am so grateful for my surgeon, my physio, my colleagues, my husband, my knowledge, my red light therapy device, herbal sitz baths and my followers.
🙂
I will post updates on my return to fitness and movement soon!
